The Nashville Banner is a nonprofit newsroom delivering community-informed journalism that engages and empowers people across Middle Tennessee. We’re in the early stages of building and executing an audience growth strategy for the Banner, experimenting with new ways to meet people where they are — that includes social media.
It’s a part-time gig, meaning it includes the flexibility to pursue other professional and creative endeavors.
We’re looking for a Nashville-based creative with an eye for design and a proven track record of creating high-quality social content.
The social media producer will work closely with our Director of Audience to fine-tune our online presence and find bold, innovative ways to bring local news directly to the people who need it.
Primary responsibilities include producing content and managing engagement for the Banner’s social accounts, including BlueSky, Instagram and TikTok.
Send your resume and three examples of social content you’ve produced, with brief explanations of what you did and why, to [email protected] with “Social Media Producer” in the subject line.
