Treadaway is a high-touch fractional brand management, design and strategy firm based in Chicago, IL. We work with people and companies who want to build strong, relational, and flexible brands that stand the test of time. Our work is specialized and tailored from one-off projects to long-term partnerships. We take the work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves seriously.

We're looking for a multi-disciplinary freelance designer who thrives on executing brand guidelines with pixel and point perfection. You know what you’re doing and feel comfortable working from a brief. AI tools help you do what you do better, but don’t replace that special touch you bring to the table. You are great at taking ideas from multiple industries to create new and scroll-stopping designs. You’re a creative strategist who designs to enhance our clients’ brand identity, increase brand awareness and affinity, and always, always, always provide value to the audience.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to create cohesive brand materials
  • Maintain brand integrity and adherence across all our clients’ designs
  • Design original digital assets for social media content and advertisements
  • Shape and maintain the image and identity of our clients’ brand
  • Create platform-specific designs based on single content sources
  • Adapt designs based on feedback; apply that feedback to future designs
  • Maintain organized artboards and project management trackers
  • Design and maintain user-friendly templates using Figma
  • Supporting content team in designing and developing our online campaigns
  • Transforming business concepts into polished, engaging designs
  • Understand what makes our clients’ target audiences tick

What You Will Need:
  • Strong proficiency in Figma
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Good understanding of branding, marketing, and narrative storytelling
  • Proven experience in digital design and social media content
  • Strategic thinking to take long-form copy to design deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of design nuances by platform
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Comfort using Notion for project management and writing
