A Media Operator is looking for a freelance writer to help cover the media industry. We are a B2B media company that focuses on niche B2B and consumer media companies (less Disney and more Flying Magazine, Questex, etc.). Our readers are founders, CEOs, executives, and their teams at these media companies. Our coverage is primarily focused on the business side of these media companies.

We are looking for a freelancer that can cover news that happens on an assignment basis as well as pitch stories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pitch story ideas relevant to the audience and also take assignments.
• Conduct research and interviews to gather accurate information.
• Write clear, engaging, and fact-checked articles.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards.
• Collaborate with founder to refine and finalize stories.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in journalism or reporting.
• Strong writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver on time.
• Familiarity with media industry is a plus.
