The Freelance Graphic Designer will work on a 10-15 hour/week basis within the Brand & Creative Services vertical on the Marketing team and report to the Art Director.
This person will be responsible for creating and delivering marketing collateral and assets that matches the Mendocino Farms’ brand and aesthetic, while driving brand awareness and building buzz for menu offerings and campaigns.
This is a part-time, temporary position requiring 10–20 hours per week. The assignment is a 1099 and expected to continue through the end of 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Art Director with digital content
- Versioning content for emails, social posts, Google Display & Meta Ads, including video and motion editing
- Adapting and versioning creative based on existing templates
- Learning organization systems required to keep track of deliverable needs and timelines
- Ensure that all designs align with the brand’s style guides, while also meeting usability and website standards
Requirements:
- Approximately 10-15 hours/week with focus on specific projects
- 2-3 years of relevant graphic design experience
- Proficiency in the latest versions of the Adobe Creative Suite, with strong knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator with skills in video editing and animation
- A strong online portfolio that includes examples of digital media, with attention to detail and quality
- Knowledge of print production and photo editing a plus
- Food/Beverage industry experience is a bonus
- Excellent time management and organization skills: capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adhering to tight deadlines
- Welcomes constructive creative criticism with an open mind, always seeking to improve work
