We're a small, fast-moving team that punches well above our weight, and we're looking for someone to keep marketing strategy sharp and on-track for about four months while our co-founder is on maternity leave.
Our marketing team is experienced and capable of running paid social, email, and Attentive (SMS) campaigns on their own. What we need is someone to own the strategic layer: making sure goals are being hit, the promo calendar is being followed, and the team has a clear point of accountability and a thinking partner if something isn't working.
You'll step in as the connective tissue between strategy and execution for the September–December window, one of our most important stretches of the year.
What You'll Do
- Run weekly or bi-weekly check-ins with the marketing team to review performance against goals and confirm the promo calendar is on track
- Keep an eye on sales and marketing KPIs, and flag early when something is off-pace
- When goals aren't being met, bring fresh, creative thinking to help the team pivot quickly rather than waiting it out
- Act as the main point of contact for marketing during this period — keeping leadership informed and the team aligned
- Help maintain consistency in brand voice and strategic priorities across paid social, email, and Attentive/SMS channels
- Partner with our data analyst on performance reporting to inform any strategy shifts
What We're Looking For
- Direct experience with paid social, search (the the changing landscape), Klaviyo, and Attentive (SMS) — you don't need to be executing day-to-day, but you need to know these channels well enough to step in.
- A strong communicator and connector — comfortable leading check-ins, asking the right questions, and keeping a team accountable without micromanaging
- A strategic, resourceful thinker who can spot when something isn't working and pivot rather than panic
- Experience overseeing or managing marketing function(s), ideally in a DTC or e-commerce environment
- Comfortable working independently in a fractional or contract capacity, with structured but not constant check-ins
Logistics
- Duration: September 2026 – December 2026 (approx. 4 months)
- Structure: Contract/fractional — scope and weekly hours to be discussed based on candidate availability
- Cadence: Weekly or bi-weekly check-ins with the marketing team; ad hoc availability as needed during key promo windows
- In-person in at least 3x a week to support team where necessary (our office 14th and 5th)
