Details

SSL is a globally trusted Certificate Authority and Digital Trust Platform serving enterprises across cybersecurity, identity, and compliance. This is a B2B technology role — the audience for your work is IT decision-makers, security teams, and compliance officers, not consumer or retail buyers.

We're looking for a production-oriented designer who can also implement their own work in WordPress.

You'll take a project from creative brief to a live page on our site, not hand off the build to someone else. You'll work closely with a small, fast-moving marketing team and are expected to have already integrated AI tools into your workflow as standard practice, not an occasional experiment.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Production

  • Design and produce assets for SSL's digital and print channels, including landing page graphics, infographics, comparison charts, technical guides, and event materials (booth graphics, banners, printed collateral for industry conferences).
  • Develop brand-compliant graphics for organic and paid social media (primarily LinkedIn), display ads, landing pages, email campaigns, white papers, and articles, built for a technical B2B audience.
  • Support the design of sales materials such as one-sheets, case studies, ebooks, and presentations.
  • Execute visual assets from creative briefs involving technical subject matter (cybersecurity, digital certificates, compliance). You won't need to be a subject matter expert, but comfort working with technical content is essential.

Web Development & WordPress

  • Build and update pages directly in WordPress, including landing pages, blog posts, and campaign pages, from your own designs.
  • Make routine edits and formatting fixes within our existing theme/page builder without requiring developer support.
  • Partner with the web development team on anything requiring custom functionality or theme-level changes.

AI-Augmented Design

  • Use AI-powered design tools to increase output velocity and explore creative directions. Our team already uses AI extensively for creative production, and we expect this role to do the same.
  • Look for opportunities to streamline repetitive design tasks through AI workflows and automation.

Brand & Asset Management

  • Maintain consistency across all assets and ensure alignment with SSL's brand guidelines, templates, fonts, color palettes, and visual standards.
  • Maintain organized and updated creative libraries for internal teams and vendor partners.
  • Manage image metadata, file organization, naming conventions, and exported format conversions.
  • Perform photo retouching and file preparation as needed.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and web development teams to complete projects on time and within scope.
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners and external vendors or agencies when needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, the majority of it in B2B technology, SaaS, or cybersecurity marketing. Candidates with primarily retail, consumer, or lifestyle brand backgrounds may not suit this role.
  • Working proficiency in WordPress: comfortable building and editing pages within an existing theme/page builder without developer support for routine work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Active use of AI tools in your current design workflow. Portfolio should include examples of AI-assisted work or a description of how AI fits into your process.
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and digital design best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A portfolio showcasing B2B or technology-sector design work, brand creative, and production-ready assets.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for web asset production and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Canva, Figma, or similar collaborative design tools.
  • Basic motion graphics or video editing skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar).
  • Experience creating assets for LinkedIn advertising campaigns.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar marketing automation platforms for asset delivery.
  • Large-format print production experience (tradeshow booths, banners, signage).
