Senior/Lead UX Designer

We’re looking for a senior-to-lead UX designer for a remote contract role, July through December, working across our CSR products and the broader Bonterra network of nonprofit and funder solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with cross-functional PODs to drive UX strategy and execution. You’ll know when to go deep with high-fidelity Figma work and when a quick prototype is the right call. You’ll work within our emerging design system while also navigating legacy SaaS patterns, often on tight timelines. You’ll collaborate with teams across multiple time zones, so clear async communication matters as much as design chops.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of UX design experience, with strong Figma chops and fluency in AI-assisted prototyping tools (v0, Lovable, Figmake, Claude, or similar).
• Experience designing AI-first experiences: standalone chat, embedded features, and net-new patterns where you’re inventing the playbook.
• Fast, iterative workflow instincts: you know when “good enough to test” beats “perfect”.
• Comfortable designing within an evolving design system and legacy SaaS environments, with the judgment to navigate tradeoffs between the two.
• Sharp prioritization instincts: you read timeline, business needs, and user needs, then calibrate your process and tools to match.
• Experience working effectively with distributed, global teams; a portfolio that shows judgment, not just polish.
