Job Description

We’re looking for a creative and scrappy marketing strategist to build our social media strategy from the ground up to help us expand our early community of Honeycomb users and believers. We’re starting our social presence from scratch, really, and looking for someone who can answer and execute around this specific question: how can we most effectively leverage paid and organic social media to grow an early following of brand supporters, and convert new Honeycomb users? Experience with early PMF user acquisition, as well as growth, is ideal.

We’re looking for someone who can co-create the scope of this role with us by aligning our objectives with your expertise and vision, but we anticipate it may include:

  • Micro influencer campaign: Design and execute an Instagram and/or Tiktok pilot with micro-influencers in the parenting and early education spaces, with audiences of both parents and preschool directors.
  • Identify micro-influencers we should work with, and manage those relationships.
  • Design ambassador/influencer compensation program, and track analytics and success of the program.
  • Platform and community strategy: Come up with and execute on creative organic growth pilots like activating Facebook parent groups and capitalizing on Reddit users in dialog around parenting and early education.
  • Paid strategy: Advise and help most cost-effectively execute paid efforts around influencer and content campaigns on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Content collaboration: Work in partnership with Honeycomb’s content creator to ensure the alignment of the above campaigns with our overarching content strategy, voice and tone.

Requirements

  • 5+ years social media strategy and execution across paid and organic campaigns:  
  • You’ve designed, owned and executed both paid and organic campaigns with the measurable goal of increasing the user base.
  • You’ve run paid conversion campaigns directly (e.g. you were at the controls!).
  • You have experience running social with non-retail companies such as consumer apps. Bonus if in the parent or early education spaces.
  • 2+ years experience managing paid micro-influencer programs, with an ability to hit the ground running on a strategy, and with experience pricing and executing influencer/ambassador campaigns, including tracking ROI and tuning for success.

  • You’ve designed and executed paid social campaigns across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and are experienced in the early user acquisition phase of growth for startups.
  • You’re inspired by a blank page and taking the reigns on creating social strategy with little oversight.
  • Are a master at innovative strategy development, but also ready to roll up your sleeves and handle the tactical end-to-end execution of your strategy.
  • Things like managing your kid’s summer camp schedule or never-ending flood of preschool emails drive you nuts (and you want to help make it less nutty for other parents!) or, you’re a non-parent who “gets it” when they see the crazed looks in the eyes of your parent friends.

Compensation & timing

This role is part time with a flexible schedule on a three-month contract. We’re prioritizing finding the right person, and then can design the role to meet your availability. The pay range will be contingent on your experience and the scope that we co-create, but will start at a baseline commitment of at least $4k/month and could flex up to as much as $8k depending on scope and and deliverables. We do need someone who can start with us ASAP.
